The typical wiring

A form on your site creates an item on a Monday intake board. Make watches that board for new items with a specific status. When it sees one, it enriches the lead (Apollo, Clearbit, or a data provider), pushes the enriched record into a CRM group or a different board, notifies the assigned rep in Slack with a link back to the Monday item, and updates the status to "Assigned."

Why this split works

Monday is where the humans look and Make is where the data moves. You do not want your reps hunting for leads in a Make scenario log. You want them opening one board and seeing everything.

Two rules that keep it from breaking

First, always give Make its own status column ("Automation Status," separate from the sales-facing status) so you can tell whether a stuck lead is a rep problem or an automation problem. Second, log every Make run's outcome in a column on the Monday item, even if it is just a timestamp. When something goes sideways, that log is the first place to look.

Anonymized example

One Pathana construction client runs 4 pipelines (intake, follow-up, quoting, invoicing) on this exact split, and has for 3+ years. Make handles the plumbing, Monday is the interface.
